Drainage Survey

What is a Drainage Survey?

The most difficult part of dealing with drainage systems is locating the problems within them. Because drains are usually buried underground, figuring out where exactly to dig can be very frustrating. But with the use of a CCTV camera, it’s possible to “see” underground until the root of the problem is located.

When there is visible evidence above ground indicating that a drainage system is not working properly, a drain report is usually requested. A drainage system can only be declared truly “non-defective” after it has been inspected by CCTV and the conditions of the system and the surrounding ground can be assessed.

Schedule of Condition

A schedule of condition reviews the condition of the property at the date a tenant moves in or before any construction takes place. For both landlord and tenant benefit, the Schedule of Condition protects against any dispute that might arise over the condition of a property. It provides a baseline to prove whether damage has occurred as a result of tenancy or nearby works (e.g. party wall).
